School Uniform Policy

The school governors and staff wish to encourage the wearing of the school uniform. Apart from helping to set the tone of the school, the uniform is serviceable and cheaper than alternative clothing. It is essential that all items of clothing and shoes are clearly marked with children’s names, as items can easily be mislaid or go astray. The basic requirements are:
 

• White, black or grey socks

• Grey trousers, shorts, pinafores or skirts

• White shirt, blouse or polo shirt

• Royal blue jumper, cardigan or fleece

• Grove Park sweatshirt

• Shoes should be black, brown or navy

• Blue and white chequered summer dress

For P.E. all children must wear a change of clothes. This should be blue coloured shorts with either a plain white, or a house coloured T-Shirt. In the interests of safety, the school policy is that indoor P.E. is done in bare feet.  For outdoor P.E. plimsolls or trainers should be worn, and a warm jumper, sweatshirt or tracksuit (Plain Navy blue, Black or Grey) is also needed in the winter months.

Various items bearing the school logo are available these include sweatshirts, polo shirts, house T-shirts, fleece jackets, P.E. bags, book bags and sun hats.  For more information please contact the school office.
